Highway 82. Georgetown, GA, Hand-painted silk - Study for my 2015-2016 exhibit at the Columbus (Ga.) Museum, "Discovering the Chattahoochee Valley". Framed under museum-quality glass.
I was intrigued by this home-made house as I drove by on the way from Georgia to Alabama on Highway 82. It had beautiful proportions and everything about it screamed "hand-made" from the carved wooden pieces on the brise soleil screen above the door, to the arched screened entrances to the large, cool porches and the off-center carved diamond under the roofline.
