The Silkies are back! Made for little hands, Silkies are an affordable and touchable work of art that adults and children alike will adore. Baby “Silkies” I call them - they are little lovies, or blankies, or in Portuguese, mantinhas, and in French, they are called dou-dous (for “soft”).
The Silkies have hand-painted colorful silk tops, they are quilted with silk thread, silk batting, and a raw silk (silk noil) neutral colored backing, for delight in texture for little baby hands. It has been proven they will be loved until the are no longer recognizable - as with the Velveteen Rabbit!
